Steve Hall, one of Alltrust’s Senior Benefits Consultants in the Sarasota-Bradenton market, exemplifies the notion of community support by giving back to unemployed military veterans. Recently, Steve was highlighted in an article in the Business Observer (Click Here to Read Article) for his support of Helping Our Heroes, a concept founded by Sarasota attorney Bill Robertson, CEO of Kirk Pinkerton law firm.
Robertson hosts Let’s Talk Law (Visit Let’s Talk Law Website) a weekly radio show that airs Fridays at 4 p.m. on 106.9FM and 1220AM WSRQ in Sarasota. On the last Friday of each month, the show is devoted to veterans who seek work and executives who can hire them. “It’s kind of like an on-air job fair,” Robertson says in the article. Starting in early March, Steve has been involved with several others to create executive level interest within the community to participate in the program. His efforts have proven to be highly successful with a lineup of local executives including Jaime DiDomenico, president and owner of CoolToday, John Saputo, owner and president of Gold Coast Eagle Distributing, and Matt Walsh, CEO and Editor of Observer Media Group. During the show’s debut, DiDomenico hired a U.S. Navy veteran on air.
Along with his involvement with Helping Our Heroes, Steve has also chaired a committee through Manatee Habitat for Humanity to raise funds to build homes for veterans. As a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, these causes are ones that Steve holds especially close to his heart. “These people are so willing to help out,” says Hall. “It’s been humbling, and I feel very fortunate to be in a position to give back to those that served our country.”
