Austin joined Alltrust in 2018 to advise our clients on their self-funded medical plans. Austin has been working with self-funded clients in the state of Florida for more than three years, in both the public and the private sector. Austin is a graduate of Florida State University, with a degree in Applied Economics, and is self-funding certified by NAHU (National Association of Health Underwriters). Austin brings the financial and analytical pieces together at the executive level, to provide insight and understanding of plan performance and trend/cost drivers.
As Director of Pricing and Analytics for Alltrust, Austin works with clients to make the best use of their benefit dollars from a cost and risk perspective. Austin’s experience in evaluating plan designs, stop loss coverage, and benefits have allowed him to make recommendations to clients to protect their budget, and help their plans thrive. “It’s a great feeling to work with a client to improve or even enhance their medical benefits due to being self-funded. When an employer has control of how their plan is set up, they can do so much for their staff, and really make their employee benefits stand out as a recruiting and retention tool.”
A Little More About Austin
Austin’s responsibilities include managing data analytics in support of client and prospect pricing, benchmarking, and cost containment. When asked about his favorite aspect of working with Alltrust, Austin replied, “Everyone here is great and very professional and helpful. They’ve made me feel at home right away! From the top down, I know I’m working with an amazing team.”
Austin is a lifelong Florida native and self-identifies as an Excel nerd. In his time outside of Alltrust, you’ll find Austin in the great outdoors, whether it be hiking, camping, or stopping off at a local restaurant.
